He is in and out like a cool breeze. It seems lately, mostly out. I miss the days of trucks and hot wheels. Our son, college student, employee, friend, gokart racer, bike rider, is so very busy doing life. I think as long as there are sneakers on my back porch, I will be ok.
It has been sunny for a couple days and we hear the rain is coming again.
So, we rush out to plant flowers while we can, snap a couple
picture of Grandbaby and come back in for tea.
I just wish you could hear her talking to the flowers.
Today my friend came to visit. We sat down and had tea and a shortbread cookie. The computer came out, the travel books came out, the dreaming started again. I want to go.......
It makes no sense, I love our home and gardens. My grandbaby charms me daily. Three dogs, chickens, an almost adult son, busy and rich life, dear friends, parties to hold, books to read.
I want to go.... just for awhile, but I want to go.
The sweetest little feet I have ever seen. If I have my camera and grandbaby is near, there will be a picture of her feet involved. Darling Daughter laughs and says that only a Grandmother could be so taken with the little feet of a child. But, seriously, they are so dear. One must capture them before she starts walking and they are never still again.
Darling Husband is a master of car restoration, there can be no doubt. He would deny it but look into his shop and garages and you will see for yourself. This is the latest project, caught at the very beginning stages. Husband has owned this car for absolutely years. It has been stored in various places but for the past ten years, behind our barn. It is worth the blogpost as a matter of record. This ugly duckling will be a swan....
Yellow Tulips are always cheerful. This time of year when the sky is grey for days on end, fresh flowers are an extra special treat. They look so pretty by my new deer antler clock.
