Party Season

The first party of the season is always darling husband's birthday.  This year is extra special as we celebrated his 60th birthday with 80 dear friends & family members.  What fun we had.  So much love and care in planning his special party day. It rained for the full week of the party, just a bit unnerving for a hostess.  The morning of the party, out came the sun. Perfect!

Today we enjoyed dying eggs with Baby. She loved mixing colors over and over.  By the time we were done they were all sort of the same color which does not have a name to date.

A Beautiful Morning

Spring is here and it just could not be any prettier outside.  I planted lovely ranunculas, johnny-jump-ups, dahlias and geraniums in the front border.  We will have rain again this weekend so I need to finish planting the front beds tomorrow. Carpets are set to be cleaned, dog has been to the groomer and Spring is in the air.....lovely.

A bit like her Daddy...

Grandbaby went ice skating for the first time yesterday.  She wanted to do it herself.  Each time she got on her own feet, she fell.  She was laughing so hard that it was difficult to get back up again.  It was such a blessing to watch her try and try again.
